शृण्वन्‌ सुरमणीयानि विप्रो5गच्छत गौतम: । पक्षियोंके उन मधुर मनोहर एवं रमणीय कलरवोंको सुनता हुआ गौतम ब्राह्मण आगे बढ़ता चला गया

Transliteration

śṛṇvan suramaṇīyāni vipro 'gacchata gautamaḥ | pakṣiṇāṃ teṣu madhura-mano-hara-ramaṇīya-kalaraveṣu śṛṇvann eva gautama-brāhmaṇaḥ agre vardhamānaḥ yayau ||

Translation

Bhīṣma said: Listening as he went to the birds’ sweet, captivating, and delightful calls, the brāhmaṇa Gautama continued onward.
