इत्येष प्रथम: कल्पो व्याख्यातस्ते सुविस्तरात् असेरुत्पत्तिसंसगों यथावद् भरतर्षभ
Translation
Thus have I explained to you, in full detail and as it truly is, this first ordinance—the origin of the asi, the sword—O bull among the Bharatas, O foremost of your race. From this it is established that the sword was the first of weapons to manifest.
