अध्याय १५२: लोभः पापस्य मूलम् — Greed as the Root of Wrongdoing
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत आपद्धर्मपर्वमें इन्दोत और पारिक्षितका संवादविषयक एक सौ पचासवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārata-śāntiparvaṇi antar-gate āpaddharmaparvaṇi indota-parīkṣit-saṁvāda-viṣayaka ekaśata-pañcāśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ
Thus ends the one hundred and fiftieth chapter of the Āpaddharma section within the Śānti Parva of the Śrī Mahābhārata, whose subject is the dialogue between Indota and Parīkṣit. In the ethical frame of Śānti Parva, this closing colophon signals the completion of a teaching episode on conduct in times of crisis (āpaddharma), presented through their conversation.
भीष्म उवाच
This line is a colophon marking the end of a chapter; it frames the preceding material as instruction on āpaddharma—ethical conduct and decision-making under distress—delivered through the Indota–Parīkṣit dialogue within the Śānti Parva’s broader peace-and-dharma discourse.
The text is concluding a unit: it announces that the 150th chapter of the Āpaddharma section (within Śānti Parva) has been completed, specifying that its topic was the conversation between Indota and King Parīkṣit.
