एवमुकक्त्वा विनिश्ित्य रौद्रकर्मा स लुब्धक: । महाप्रस्थानमाश्रित्य प्रययौ संशितव्रत:,ऐसा कहकर धर्माचरणका ही निश्चय करके वह भयानक कर्म करनेवाला व्याध कठोर व्रतका आश्रय ले महाप्रस्थानके पथपर चल दिया
evam uktvā viniścitya raudrakarmā sa lubdhakaḥ | mahāprasthānam āśritya prayayau saṃśitavrataḥ ||
Having spoken thus, and firmly resolving upon the practice of dharma, that hunter—though known for fierce deeds—embraced a stern vow and set out upon the path of the Great Departure, turning his life toward disciplined renunciation and moral resolve.
