ऋषिरुवाच कृशत्वेन सम॑ राजन्नाशाया विद्यते नूप । तस्या वै दुर्लभत्वाच्च प्रार्थिता: पार्थिवा मया
Translation
The rishi said: “O ruler of men, no weakness equals the weakness of hope, nor that of one bound by hope. And because the object one hopes for is rare and hard to obtain, I have gone begging at the courts of many kings.”
