तेषां सान्त्वं क्रूरमिश्रं प्रणेतव्यं पुनः पुन: । सम्पीड्यमाना हि परैयोंगमायान्ति सर्वतः
Translation
Bhīṣma said: “Toward those people one should again and again employ soothing words mixed with firmness; for when pressed only by harsh speech, they scatter in every direction and join the enemy.”
