जयं जानीत धर्मस्य मूलं सर्वसुखस्य च । या भीरूणां परा ग्लानि: शूरस्तामधिगच्छति
Translation
Bhishma said: O heroes, know victory in battle to be the root of dharma and the source of all happiness. What brings crushing shame to the fearful, the brave accept with gladness—be it the blow of weapons or even death.
