कुरुकुलभूषण! स्त्रियोंके लिये जिनका पालन अत्यन्त दुष्कर और दुःसह है, उन-उन कठोर नियमोंका पालन करती हुई श्रुतावतीके वहाँ अनेक वर्ष व्यतीत हो गये ।।
Translation
O ornament of the Kuru line! There, many years passed for Śrutāvatī as she observed those harsh disciplines—so difficult and grievous for women to keep. By that conduct, by her austerity, and by her supreme devotion, the blessed Pākāśāsana (Indra) was greatly pleased.
