Varuṇa’s Consecration; Search for Agni; Kaubera Sacred Site
उषित्वा रजनीं तत्र माधव: परवीरहा । पूज्य तीर्थवरं तच्च स्पृष्टवा तोयं च लाड़ली
uṣitvā rajanīṃ tatra mādhavaḥ paravīrahā | pūjya tīrthavaraṃ tacca spṛṣṭvā toyaṃ ca lāḍalī ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Having spent the night there, Mādhava—slayer of hostile heroes—paid reverence to that excellent sacred ford; and after touching its waters, he proceeded onward.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in a martial context, one should uphold dharma through reverence for sacred places and inner purification; ritual respect functions as ethical re-centering before action.
After spending the night at a location, Kṛṣṇa (Mādhava) honors a renowned tīrtha and touches its water as an act of reverence/purification, then continues his journey.
