vaiśampāyana uvāca | kāmavīryadharān siddhān mahāpāriṣadān prabhuḥ | nandisenaṃ lohitākṣaṃ ghaṇṭākarṇaṃ ca sammatam | rudrair vasubhir ādityair aśvibhyāṃ ca vṛtaḥ prabhuḥ |
Vaiśampāyana said: The Lord (Skanda/Kārttikeya), surrounded by perfected beings of steadfast valor and by the great attendants of the divine court, stood encircled by Nandisena, Lohitākṣa, and the honored Ghaṇṭākarṇa. He was further attended by the Rudras, the Vasus, the Ādityas, and the twin Aśvins. The scene proclaims a moral vision of rightful power: true leadership is not solitary force, but strength upheld by disciplined, dharmic energies and the ordered ranks of the cosmos.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse presents rightful authority as harmonized with cosmic order: the Lord is attended by perfected beings and major deity-groups, suggesting that true power is legitimized and stabilized by disciplined, dharmic forces rather than mere individual might.
Vaiśampāyana describes Skanda/Kārttikeya standing encircled by eminent attendants (Nandisena, Lohitākṣa, Ghaṇṭākarṇa) and by divine classes (Rudras, Vasus, Ādityas, and the Aśvins), forming a majestic divine entourage.
