वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical and social meaning of abhiṣeka (consecration): legitimate authority is affirmed through sacred rite and collective acknowledgment, expressed as orderly attendance and service to the consecrated leader.
After Skanda’s consecration, immense multitudes assemble and encircle him, standing nearby in attendance—signaling public recognition of his elevated status and readiness to follow his command.
