Sañjaya said: Even while all those warriors were still alive, Abhībhatsu (Arjuna) was never defeated by anyone. With Kṛṣṇa as his guide and leader, the mighty-armed Arjuna is unassailable—even for the gods.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the power of righteous capability supported by wise, dharmic guidance: Arjuna’s prowess is portrayed as unbeatable, especially because Kṛṣṇa’s leadership directs his strength toward effective and principled action.
Sañjaya praises Arjuna’s battlefield record, emphasizing that even when the opposing heroes were still alive and active, none could defeat him; with Kṛṣṇa as his charioteer and guide, Arjuna is described as unassailable—even by divine beings.
