उषित्वा च महाभागास्तस्मिन् सत्रे यथाविधि
uṣitvā ca mahābhāgās tasmin satre yathāvidhi
And those noble ones, having stayed in that sacrificial session in the prescribed manner, duly observed the rite as tradition and rule require.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse foregrounds dharma as disciplined conformity to prescribed conduct (vidhi), suggesting that moral and social order is sustained through careful observance of sacred duties, not merely through intention.
Vaiśampāyana states that certain eminent persons remained at a satra (a long sacrificial gathering) and completed their stay and observances according to proper ritual procedure.
