Trita in the Well (Udapāna-kathā) — Balarāma’s Tīrtha Observances
देवास्तथा वच: श्रुत्वा गत्वा दक्षमथाब्रुवन्
devās tathā vacaḥ śrutvā gatvā dakṣam athābruvan
Vaiśampāyana said: “Hearing those words, the gods then went to Dakṣa and addressed him.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights a dharmic pattern: after hearing significant counsel, one should proceed to appropriate authority or a competent guide for deliberation and action, rather than acting impulsively.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the gods, having heard certain words, go to Dakṣa and speak to him, indicating the next step in the unfolding episode involves Dakṣa’s role or response.
