Dvaipāyana-hrade Duryodhanasya Māyā — Yudhiṣṭhirasya Dharmoktiḥ (Śalya-parva, Adhyāya 30)

यदा तु पाण्डवा: सर्वे सुपरिश्रान्तवाहना:

yadā tu pāṇḍavāḥ sarve supariśrāntavāhanāḥ

Sañjaya said: But when all the Pāṇḍavas—together with their mounts and teams—were utterly worn out by exertion and sank into deep fatigue, the momentum of the encounter turned toward a pause, showing that even the most righteous and resolute warriors remain bound by the body’s limits amid the demands of war.

Educational Q&A

Even in a dharma-driven struggle, bodily limits and exhaustion shape outcomes; perseverance must be balanced with realism about strength, resources, and timing.

Sañjaya reports a moment when the Pāṇḍavas and their mounts/teams become thoroughly fatigued, signaling a shift in the battle’s pace and setting up the next development in the encounter.
