Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | tataḥ kruddhā mahārāja saubalasya padānugāḥ | tyaktvā jīvitam ākrande pāṇḍavān paryavārayan |

Translation

Sañjaya said: Then, O King, the followers of Saubala (Śakuni), inflamed with wrath, casting aside all attachment to life, surrounded the Pāṇḍavas on every side amid the tumult of battle.
