अश्वत्थाम-शापः, परिक्षिद्भविष्यत्, मणि-न्यासः

Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution

तब राजाकी आज्ञा पाकर महाबली भीमसेनने वह दिव्य मणि द्रौपदीके हाथमें दे दी और इस प्रकार कहा-- ।।

tataḥ rājñaḥ ājñāṃ prāpya mahābalī bhīmasenaḥ sāṃ divyāṃ maṇiṃ draupadyāḥ haste nyadadhāt, idaṃ ca uvāca— ayaṃ bhadre tava maṇiḥ putrahantur jitaḥ sa te | uttiṣṭha śokam utsṛjya kṣātradharmam anusmara, bhadre ||

Having received the king’s command, the mighty Bhīmasena placed that divine jewel into Draupadī’s hand and said: “Lady, this is your jewel—won from the slayer of your sons. That enemy of yours has been conquered by us. Now rise, cast off grief, and remember the duty of a kṣatriya.”
