Shloka 25

वैशम्पायन उवाच ततो द्रोण: सोमदत्तो बाह्लीकश्नैव गौतम: । विदुरो द्रोणपुत्रश्न वैश्यापुत्रश्न वीर्यवान्‌,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! तब द्रोणाचार्य, सोमदत्त, बाह्नीक, कृपाचार्य, विदुर, अश्व॒त्थामा, पराक्रमी युयुत्सु, भूरिश्रवा, पितामह भीष्म तथा महारथी विकर्ण सबने एक स्वरसे इस निर्णयका विरोध करते हुए कहा--'अब जूआ नहीं होना चाहिये, तभी सर्वत्र शान्ति बनी रह सकती है”

vaiśampāyana uvāca | tato droṇaḥ somadattaḥ bāhlīkaś caiva gautamaḥ | viduro droṇaputraś ca vaiśyāputraś ca vīryavān |

Vaiśampāyana said: Then Droṇa, Somadatta, Bāhlīka, and Gautama (Kṛpa), along with Vidura, Droṇa’s son Aśvatthāmā, and the valiant Vaiśya’s son (Yuyutsu), raised their voices in unison against that decision, declaring: “There should be no more gambling; only thus can peace be maintained everywhere.”
