iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate sabhāparvaṇi antar-gata dyūtapārve bhīmavākyaviṣayakaḥ saptatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ
Thus, in the revered Mahābhārata, within the Sabhā Parva—specifically in the Dyūta (Gambling) section—the seventieth chapter, whose subject is Bhīma’s words, comes to its conclusion.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
This is a colophon-like closing that frames Bhīma’s speech as a complete unit within the dice-game narrative, reminding the reader that moral protest and ethical judgment (dharma-vicāra) are central to how the epic presents the crisis of gambling and humiliation.
The text signals the end of a chapter in the Sabhā Parva’s Dyūta section, specifically the chapter focused on Bhīma’s words; it functions as a formal transition marker before the narrative proceeds to subsequent developments in the dice-game episode.
