Bhīṣma said: “O king, this son of yours has been born endowed with fortune and surpassing strength. Therefore you should not fear on our account; remain untroubled and calmly rear and protect the child.”
भीष्म उवाच
A ruler should not be driven by fear or agitation; when auspicious strength and fortune are present, he should remain composed and fulfill his duty of protection and nurturing—especially toward a vulnerable child.
Bhīṣma reassures a king about the king’s newborn son, praising the child’s auspicious qualities and strength, and urges the king to set aside anxiety and responsibly protect and raise the infant.
