Adhyāya 32: Rājasūya-Dīkṣā and Appointment of Court Offices (राजसूयदीक्षा तथा अधिकारविनियोगः)
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत यभापव॑के अन्तर्गत विग्विजयपर्वमें सहदेवके द्वारा दक्षिण दिशाकी विजयसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाला इकतीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
Iti prakāraṁ Śrīmahābhārate Sabhāparvaṇi antargate Digvijayaparvaṇi Sahadevena dakṣiṇa-diśāyā vijaya-sambandhaṁ eka-triṁśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ.
Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Sabhā Parva, the thirty-first chapter of the Digvijaya section—concerning Sahadeva’s conquest in the southern direction—comes to an end.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
As a colophon, the verse primarily signals completion and classification, but it also reflects the Mahābhārata’s ethical-political frame: conquest is narrated as a structured assertion of sovereignty (digvijaya) tied to legitimacy and order, not as random aggression.
