“Bhīma, reveal at once—here and now—before us, that supreme divine strength of yours, and the extraordinary power you have received from Mātariśvan (Vāyu), by displaying it against Jarāsandha.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that extraordinary capability should be demonstrated responsibly and at the right moment—especially when a just objective requires decisive action. It also frames Bhīma’s power as both personal excellence and a divine endowment, implying accountability in its use.
The speaker urges Bhīma to promptly display his supreme, divinely aided strength—specifically the power associated with Vāyu—by showing it in the confrontation involving Jarāsandha, signaling an imminent test of might.
