Arjuna’s Northern Conquests and Tribute Collection
नायं पापो मया कृष्ण युक्त: स्यादनुरोधितुम् । प्राणेन यदुशार्टूल बद्धकक्षेण वाससा,“यदुश्रेष्ठ श्रीकृष्ण! जरासंधने लंगोटसे अपनी कमर खूब कस ली है। यह पापी प्राण रहते मेरे वशमें आनेवाला नहीं जान पड़ता”
naayaṃ pāpo mayā kṛṣṇa yuktaḥ syād anurodhitum | prāṇena yaduśārṭūla baddhakakṣeṇa vāsasā ||
“O Kṛṣṇa, this wicked man does not seem amenable to being restrained or persuaded by me. O tiger among the Yadus, he has tightened his waist-cloth firmly, as if resolved to fight on to the last breath—he will not come under my control while life remains in him.”
