तस्य मेडद्य स्थितस्येह स्वधर्मे नियतात्मन: । अनागसं प्रजानां च प्रमादादिव जल्पथ,मैं अपने मनको वशमें रखकर सदा स्वधर्म (क्षत्रियधर्म)-में स्थित रहता हूँ। प्रजाओंका भी कोई अपराध नहीं करता, ऐसी दशामें भी आपलोग प्रमादसे ही मुझे शत्रु या अपराधी बता रहे हैं
Transliteration
tasya medadya sthitasyeha svadharme niyatātmanaḥ | anāgasaṃ prajānāṃ ca pramādād iva jalpatha |
Translation
“Here I stand today, steadfast in my own duty, with my mind disciplined. I have committed no offense against the people. Yet you speak as if in heedlessness, branding me an enemy or a wrongdoer.”
