क्षिप्रमेव यथा त्वेतत् कार्य समुपपद्यते । अप्रमत्तो जगन्नाथ तथा कुरु नरोत्तम
kṣipram eva yathā tv etat kāryaṃ samupapadyate | apramatto jagannātha tathā kuru narottama ||
Yudhiṣṭhira said: “Act, O Lord of the world, O best of men, so that this task is accomplished swiftly and properly. Be vigilant, and do it accordingly.”
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse emphasizes timely, well-ordered action guided by vigilance: a duty should be completed quickly yet properly, without negligence or distraction.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses a respected figure with honorifics, urging him to carry out an intended task promptly and carefully, stressing alertness so the plan succeeds without mishap.
