Jarā’s Account and the Enthronement of Jarāsandha (जरासंधोत्पत्तिः अभिषेकश्च)
तेन शब्देन सम्भ्रान्त: सहसान्तःपुरे जनः । निर्जगाम नरव्याप्र राज्ञा सह परंतप,परंतप नरव्याप्र! बालकके उस रोने-चिल्लानेके शब्दसे रनिवासकी सब स्त्रियाँ घबरा उठीं तथा राजाके साथ सहसा बाहर निकलीं
tena śabdena sambhrāntaḥ sahasāntaḥpure janaḥ | nirjagāma naravyāghra rājñā saha parantapa ||
Startled by that sound, the people within the inner apartments—especially the women of the royal household—were thrown into confusion. In haste they came out together with the king, O tiger among men, O scorcher of foes, responding to the child’s loud crying and commotion.
