Jarā’s Account and the Enthronement of Jarāsandha (जरासंधोत्पत्तिः अभिषेकश्च)
उवाच च महाप्राज्ञस्तं राजानं महामुनि: । गच्छ राजन् कृतार्थोडसि निवर्तस्व नराधिप
uvāca ca mahāprājñas taṃ rājānaṃ mahāmuniḥ | gaccha rājan kṛtārtho 'si nivartasva narādhipa ||
Then the great sage, endowed with profound wisdom, addressed that king: “Go, O King. Your purpose has been fulfilled. O lord of men, now return to your capital.”
श्रीकृष्ण उवाच
When one’s rightful objective has been attained through proper means and guidance, dharma requires contentment and withdrawal—returning without greed, escalation, or needless prolongation.
A great sage formally concludes an encounter by telling a king that his aim has been fulfilled and instructs him to depart and return to his seat of rule, signaling closure and orderly return to duty.
