Samrāt-Lakṣaṇa and the Counsel to Check Jarāsandha (सम्राट्-लक्षणं जरासन्ध-प्रतिबाधा-परामर्शः)
तथैव सर्वपञ्चाला जरासंधभयार्दिता: । स्वराज्यं सम्परित्यज्य विद्रुता: सर्वतो दिशम्,उसी प्रकार समस्त पंचालदेशीय क्षत्रिय जरासंधके भयसे दुःखी हो अपना राज्य छोड़कर चारों दिशाओंमें भाग गये हैं
tathaiva sarvapañcālā jarāsandhabhayārditāḥ | svarājyaṃ samparityajya vidrutāḥ sarvato diśam ||
“In the same way, all the Pāñcālas, tormented by fear of Jarāsandha, abandoned their own kingdom and fled in every direction.”

The verse highlights the social and moral consequences of tyrannical power: when fear dominates, communities abandon stability and rightful governance, revealing the need for righteous protection and balanced kingship.
Śrī Kṛṣṇa describes how the Pāñcālas, overwhelmed by Jarāsandha’s threat, gave up their kingdom and scattered in all directions, illustrating the extent of Jarāsandha’s intimidation and regional destabilization.
