Sanjaya said: “O King, while Kṛṣṇa and Dāruka were conversing in this manner, the night passed away. Then, on the other side, King Yudhiṣṭhira awoke.”
संजय उवाच
Even in the turmoil of war, dharma expresses itself through steadiness and timely action: counsel happens, time passes, and the king must rise to meet the day’s obligations. The verse underscores disciplined readiness and the inevitability of time.
Sanjaya reports that Kṛṣṇa and his charioteer Dāruka continue their discussion until the night ends; with dawn, Yudhiṣṭhira awakens, signaling a shift from private conversation to the next day’s unfolding events.
