त्वदृते देवदेवेश नान्य: शक्त: कथंचन
tvadṛte devadeveśa nānyaḥ śaktaḥ kathaṃcana
Vyāsa said: “Apart from you, O Lord of lords, there is no one at all who is capable—under any circumstance.”
व्यास उवाच
The verse asserts divine supremacy and human limitation: true capability and successful action ultimately depend on the Supreme Lord, encouraging humility and devotional reliance rather than pride in personal power.
Vyāsa addresses the Supreme Lord with a declaration of exclusive capability, emphasizing that no other being can accomplish the intended outcome without the Lord’s power—framing the surrounding events as governed by divine agency rather than merely human effort.
