Shloka 8

न चैनं संयुगे कश्चित्‌ समर्थ: प्रतिवीक्षितुम्‌ । न चैनमर्जुनो जातु प्रतियुध्येत धर्मवित्‌,“रणभूमिमें दूसरा कोई योद्धा उनकी ओर देखनेमें भी समर्थ नहीं है (युद्ध करना तो दूरकी बात है) और धर्मके ज्ञाता अर्जुन कदापि उनके साथ (मन लगाकर) युद्ध नहीं करेंगे!

na cainaṃ saṃyuge kaścit samarthaḥ prativīkṣitum | na cainam arjuno jātu pratiyudhyeta dharmavit ||

Sañjaya said: “In the press of battle, no warrior can even face him with a steady gaze—let alone fight him. And Arjuna, though a knower of dharma, will never truly engage him in combat.”
