इति श्रीमहाभारते द्रोणपर्वणि द्रोणवधपर्वणि युधिष्ठिरासत्यक थने नवत्यधिकशततमो<ध्याय:

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate droṇaparvaṇi droṇavadhaparvaṇi yudhiṣṭhirāsatyakathane navatyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Translation

Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Droṇa Parva—specifically the section concerning the slaying of Droṇa—ends the one-hundred-and-ninetieth chapter, recounting Yudhiṣṭhira’s untruth. This colophon marks a grave ethical turning point in the war: the pressure of victory drives even the most dharma-bound king into a compromised statement, showing how warfare corrodes moral clarity and leaves the righteous burdened with lasting responsibility.
