Transliteration

vāryamāṇas tu pārthena tathā madhye mahātmanām

Translation

Sañjaya said: Though being restrained by Pārtha (Arjuna), he still remained there, in the very midst of the great-souled warriors—suggesting a tense moment where personal valor and the attempt to check further harm collide on the battlefield.
