sa tu tena prahāreṇa bhaimasenir mahābalaḥ | īṣan mūrcchitam ātmānam astambhayat vīryavān ||
Sañjaya said: Struck by that blow, the mighty son of Bhīmasena was momentarily dazed; yet, being a hero of great prowess, he quickly steadied himself again.
संजय उवाच
Even amid extreme violence, a warrior’s excellence is shown not only in strength but in composure—recovering quickly from shock and maintaining self-mastery (ātma-saṃyama) and resolve.
After receiving a powerful blow, Ghaṭotkaca (identified as the son of Bhīmasena) becomes briefly dazed, but he promptly regains his balance and steadies himself, continuing the battle.
