द्रोणपुत्रस्याग्नेयास्त्रप्रयोगः — अर्जुनस्य ब्राह्मास्त्रप्रतिघातः — व्यासोपदेशः

बलार्णवी ततस्तौ तु समेयातां निशामुखे । वातोद्धूतौ क्षुब्धसत्त्वी भैरवी सागराविव,जैसे वायुके वेगसे उद्वेलित तथा विक्षुब्ध जल-जन्तुओंसे भरे हुए दो भयंकर समुद्र एक-दूसरेसे मिल रहे हों, उसी प्रकार उस रात्रिके समय वे सागर-सदृश दोनों सेनाएँ एक- दूसरेसे भिड़ गयीं

Then, as night fell, the two sea-like armies met and crashed together—like two dreadful oceans, heaved up by the force of the wind and teeming with agitated water-creatures, surging into one another.
