ते महास्त्राणि दिव्यानि तत्र राजन् व्यदर्शयन्
te mahāstrāṇi divyāni tatra rājan vyadarśayan
Sañjaya said: “O King, there they displayed those great, divine weapons.”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the display of overwhelming, ‘divine’ martial power, implicitly reminding the listener that extraordinary capability in war intensifies ethical responsibility: the greater the weapon, the greater the accountability for its deployment and its fallout.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that, at that moment in the battle, great celestial weapons were being shown/used—signaling an escalation in the conflict and the entry of higher-order astras into the fighting.
