अथ कर्ण: शरव्रातैर्भीमसेनं समार्पयत् । ननाद च महानादं पुनर्विव्याध चोरसि,तदनन्तर कर्णने अपने बाणसमूहोंद्वारा भीमसेनको घायल कर दिया। उसने बड़े जोरसे गर्जना की और पुन: भीमसेनकी छातीमें चोट पहुँचायी
atha karṇaḥ śaravrātair bhīmasenaṃ samārpayat | nanāda ca mahānādaṃ punar vivyādha corasi ||
Sanjaya said: Then Karna struck Bhimasena with volleys of arrows, loudly roaring, and once again pierced him in the chest.
