Droṇa said: “Duryodhana, the mighty scion of Bharata’s line, swiftly advanced and, with those two brothers who were themselves rushing forward in haste, joined battle in a fierce and decisive combat.”
द्रोण उवाच
The verse highlights how haste and martial pride can propel leaders into intensified conflict; ethical discernment in war requires restraint, yet the narrative shows the opposite—rapid escalation driven by competitive valor.
Droṇa reports that Duryodhana quickly advances and engages in a major fight together with (and against) two brothers who are also rushing forward, indicating a sudden, forceful clash on the battlefield.
