Educational Q&A

Speech and counsel should be grounded in known reasons and responsibility; Yudhiṣṭhira emphasizes that his statement was made with awareness of the motivating causes, not as careless or uninformed talk.

In the midst of the Drona Parva’s tense wartime exchanges, Yudhiṣṭhira addresses another person and justifies his earlier words by stating that he knew the two underlying reasons and therefore spoke deliberately.
