तामापतन्तीं सम्प्रेक्ष्य वियत्स्थामशनीमिव । उत्पत्य राक्षसस्तूर्ण जग्राह च ननाद च
tām āpatantīṃ samprekṣya viyat-sthām aśanīm iva | utpatya rākṣasas tūrṇaṃ jagrāha ca nanāda ca ||
Sañjaya said: Seeing that mighty missile hurtling down through the sky like a thunderbolt, the rākṣasa Ghaṭotkaca sprang up at once, seized it, and roared aloud like a lion.
