तंतु दृष्टवा महाव्यूहं तावकानां महारथ: । युधिष्ठिरो5ब्रवीत् तूर्ण पार्षते पृततापतिम्,राजन्! आपके सैनिकोंका वह महाव्यूह देखकर महारथी युधिष्ठिरने तुरंत ही सेनापति धृष्टद्युम्नसे कहा--
taṁ tu dṛṣṭvā mahāvyūhaṁ tāvakānāṁ mahārathaḥ | yudhiṣṭhiro 'bravīt tūrṇaṁ pārṣate pṛtatāpatim ||
Sañjaya said: Seeing that vast battle-formation of your forces, the great chariot-warrior Yudhiṣṭhira at once addressed Dhṛṣṭadyumna, the son of Pṛṣata and commander of the army.
संजय उवाच
Even when war is morally burdensome, a leader must remain vigilant and act decisively for protection and order. The verse highlights prompt, responsible command—meeting danger with clear communication and strategic readiness rather than hesitation.
Sañjaya reports that Yudhiṣṭhira sees the Kauravas’ massive battle-array and immediately speaks to Dhṛṣṭadyumna, the Pāṇḍavas’ commander, signaling an urgent strategic response to the enemy’s formation.
