माद्रीपुत्रस्तु नकुल: शूरसंक्रन्दनो युधि । त्रिगर्तानां बलै: सार्थ समसज्जत पाण्डव:,माद्रीकुमार पाण्डुनन्दन नकुल युद्धमें बड़े-बड़े शूरवीरोंको रुलानेवाले थे। उन्होंने त्रिगर्तोकी सेनाके साथ युद्ध ठाना
mādrīputras tu nakulaḥ śūrasaṃkrandano yudhi | trigartānāṃ balaiḥ sārthaṃ samasajjata pāṇḍavaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: Nakula, the son of Mādrī—renowned on the battlefield as one who makes even great warriors cry out—closed in and joined battle with the forces of the Trigartas. In this dharmic war, his valor appears as disciplined martial duty, not mere aggression.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights kṣatriya-dharma: courage and steadfastness in a justly undertaken battle, where personal valor is framed as disciplined duty within the larger moral order of the war.
Sañjaya reports that Nakula, Mādrī’s son, enters direct combat and engages the Trigarta forces, emphasizing his fearsome battlefield reputation and the intensity of the encounter.
