भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
रुरोध सर्वत:ः पार्थ: शरै: कनकभूषणै: । शलभोंकी श्रेणीके समान अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंकी उस वर्षाको अर्जुनने स्वर्णभूषित बाणोंद्वारा सब ओरसे रोक दिया ।। तत्र तल्लाघवं दृष्टवा बीभत्सोरतिमानुषम्,राजेन्द्र! अर्जुनकी वह अलौकिक फुर्ती देख देवता, दानव, गन्धर्व, पिशाच, नाग तथा राक्षस साधु-साधु (वाह-वाह) कहकर उनकी प्रशंसा करने लगे
sañjaya uvāca |
rurodha sarvataḥ pārthaḥ śaraiḥ kanakabhūṣaṇaiḥ |
tatra tallāghavaṁ dṛṣṭvā bībhatsor atimānuṣam |
rājendra devatā dānavā gandharvāḥ piśācā nāgā rākṣasāś ca sādhv iti sādhv iti praśaśaṁsuḥ ||
Sañjaya said: Then Pārtha (Arjuna), with arrows adorned with gold, checked that shower of weapons on every side. Seeing there the superhuman swiftness and skill of Bībhatsu (Arjuna), O best of kings, the gods, Dānavas, Gandharvas, Piśācas, Nāgas, and Rākṣasas praised him, crying “Well done! Well done!”
