Sañjaya said: While thousands of chariot-warriors were scattering in different directions, Abhimanyu—the son of Subhadrā—and Sātyaki—the foremost of the Śinis—stood together upon a single chariot and, in the thick of battle, struck down the army of the Saubala on every side.

Even amid the chaos and moral strain of war, steadfast courage joined with loyal cooperation can protect one’s side and restore order; the verse highlights disciplined heroism and solidarity as stabilizing forces.
As many chariot-fighters flee in confusion, Abhimanyu and Sātyaki share a single chariot and attack the Saubala (Śakuni’s) forces, cutting them down from all directions on the battlefield.
