भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय 54: फल्गुन-प्रतिरोधः, सौबली-व्यूह-विध्वंसः, दुर्योधन-भीष्म-संवादः
कप अं त्वा ततो राजा धृष्टद्युम्नं महारथम् | [ समितौ तस्यां वासुदेवस्यथ शृण्वत:,यह सुनकर धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरने भगवान् श्रीकृष्णके सुनते ही उस सभामें महारथी धृष्टद्यम्नसे कहा--
tataḥ sa rājā dhṛṣṭadyumnaṁ mahāratham | samitau tasyāṁ vāsudevasya atha śṛṇvataḥ ||
Then King Yudhiṣṭhira, in that very assembly and on the eve of battle, addressed Dhṛṣṭadyumna—the great chariot-warrior—while Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa) listened.
संजय उवाच
Even in war, decisions should be made with dharma-consciousness—seeking counsel, speaking responsibly, and acting as if under moral scrutiny, symbolized by Kṛṣṇa’s attentive presence.
Sañjaya reports that Yudhiṣṭhira addresses the great warrior Dhṛṣṭadyumna in the battle context, with Kṛṣṇa present and listening, setting up instructions or strategy framed by ethical responsibility.
