Rāja-Vidyā Rāja-Guhya Yoga (राजविद्या राजगुह्य योग) — The Yoga of Royal Knowledge and Royal Secret
योयोयां यां तनुं भक्तः श्रद्धयार्चितुमिच्छति । तस्य तस्याचलां श्रद्धां तामेव विद्धाम्पहम्,जो-जो सकाम भक्त जिस-जिस देवताके स्वरूपको श्रद्धासे पूजना चाहता है, उस- उस भक्तकी श्रद्धाको मैं उसी देवताके प्रति स्थिर करता हूँ
yo yo yāṁ yāṁ tanūṁ bhaktaḥ śraddhayārcitum icchati | tasya tasyācalāṁ śraddhāṁ tām eva viddhy aham ||
Whatever form a devoted worshipper wishes to honor with faith, I make that very person’s faith steady and unwavering toward that chosen form.
अजुन उवाच
The verse teaches that sincere devotion is supported by the divine: when a worshipper chooses a particular form to revere with faith, that faith is strengthened and stabilized toward the chosen object of worship.
In the Bhīṣma Parva’s didactic setting, Arjuna speaks about worship and faith, describing how a devotee’s intention to honor a particular form is met by a stabilizing reinforcement of that devotion.
