Rāja-Vidyā Rāja-Guhya Yoga (राजविद्या राजगुह्य योग) — The Yoga of Royal Knowledge and Royal Secret

yo yo yāṁ yāṁ tanūṁ bhaktaḥ śraddhayārcitum icchati | tasya tasyācalāṁ śraddhāṁ tām eva viddhy aham ||

Whatever form a devoted worshipper wishes to honor with faith, I make that very person’s faith steady and unwavering toward that chosen form.

Educational Q&A

The verse teaches that sincere devotion is supported by the divine: when a worshipper chooses a particular form to revere with faith, that faith is strengthened and stabilized toward the chosen object of worship.

In the Bhīṣma Parva’s didactic setting, Arjuna speaks about worship and faith, describing how a devotee’s intention to honor a particular form is met by a stabilizing reinforcement of that devotion.
