Whoever dedicates all actions to Brahman, performing them after abandoning attachment, is not stained by sin—just as a lotus leaf remains untouched by water.
अर्जुन उवाच
Perform your duties while offering all actions to Brahman and abandoning attachment to outcomes; then action does not morally stain you, like water cannot cling to a lotus leaf.
In the midst of the war-setting dialogue, Arjuna voices a verse that crystallizes the Karma-yoga principle: engagement in duty is compatible with spiritual purity when actions are dedicated to the Supreme and done without possessiveness or craving for results.
