चक्षुषा संजयो राजन् दिव्येनैव समन्वित: । कथयिष्यति ते युद्ध सर्वज्ञश्न भविष्यति,“राजन! संजय दिव्य दृष्टिसे सम्पन्न होकर सर्वज्ञ हो जायगा और तुम्हें युद्धकी बात बतायेगा
cakṣuṣā sañjayo rājan divyenaiva samanvitaḥ | kathayiṣyati te yuddhaṃ sarvajñaś ca bhaviṣyati ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “O King, Sañjaya—endowed with divine sight—will recount the battle to you, and he will become as one who knows all (that occurs on the field).”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that truthful understanding of events may require an elevated means of perception: Sañjaya’s divya-cakṣus symbolizes insight granted beyond ordinary senses, enabling responsible narration of a morally weighty war.
Vaiśampāyana informs the king that Sañjaya, empowered with divine vision, will be able to witness the distant battlefield and report the unfolding war accurately, as though omniscient regarding the events there.
