Chapter 19: Prativyūha of the Pāṇḍavas — Vajra (Acala) Formation and Dawn Omens
bruvāṇaṁ tu tathā pārtha sarvasainyāni bhārata | apūjayaṁs tadā vāgbhir anukūlābhir āhave ||
Sañjaya said: O Bhārata, when Pārtha (Arjuna) spoke in that way upon the battlefield, all the armies then honored him with favorable words—acknowledging his resolve and the dharmic weight of his stance amid war.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how righteous resolve and fitting speech in a dharmic struggle can elicit recognition even amid hostility: honor is shown not only by deeds but also by supportive words that strengthen moral courage in war.
After Arjuna speaks (in the preceding context), Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that the assembled troops on the battlefield respond by honoring Arjuna with favorable, approving words, signaling assent and encouragement at that moment.
