Sañjaya said: O King, thereafter skilled physicians arrived to attend Bhīṣma—experts in the art of extracting arrows from the body. They came fully equipped with all necessary instruments and had been thoroughly trained by competent masters. The scene underscores that even amid the harshness of war, disciplined care and learned skill are summoned to preserve life and honor the fallen.

Educational Q&A

Even in warfare, dharma expresses itself through responsible care: trained expertise, proper preparation, and service to the wounded uphold human dignity and duty amid violence.

After Bhīṣma has been struck by arrows, skilled physicians arrive to serve him. They are well-trained and come with all necessary equipment, ready to remove arrows and provide treatment.
